There are 74 properties on the market today in Alamo–157 in Danville, and 35 in Blackhawk. It was a small tour yesterday, with only 5 listings in Alamo.
Yesterday™s tour included my listing at 334 Corrie Place, which was featured in the One-of-a-Kind editorial in Sunday™s paper. A stunning single story home with spectacular views. The one-of-a-kind editor selected the home because of its unique combination of flat lot, dramatic views, single story, and newer construction. The home is 5400 square feet, which is hard to find in a single story, and is priced at $2,299,000.
In the same general price range was a new listing on Wing Set Place. This home has a great family-friendly floorplan with most of the bedrooms upstairs, a beautiful open and updated kitchen, and a stunning backyard. The backyard has a pool and open air cabana with kitchen and sitting area. Feels like a resort. With 4 bedrooms plus offce and 4975 square feet, this home is offered for $2,215,000.
A new listing on the other side of the price spectrum is a home on Bernie. The map will show that this is very close to the freeway, but the home sits down from the freeway so it™s not as much of a factor as you would expect. Priced under $700,000, the house is over 2400 sq feet and sits on a flat nearly 2/3 acre lot.
Even while holding my own broker™s tour, it wasn™t a challenge to see the other homes on tour in Alamo (since only two were new to the market), and I also visited a new listing in westside Danville. Located on Glen Rd directly across from SRVHS and Del Amigo swim club is a very special home. Despite its corner location, this home is very private and absolutely gorgeous inside. Totally remodeled in 2006 with high-end finishes throughout. The home is 3800 sq feet and priced at $1,690,000.
Last week on Tour, Iwas impressed with a home on Castle Crest. It™s updated and decorated beautifully, has wonderful views overlooking the entire valley and Mt Diablo. The ceilings in this home are special”odd as that may sound, it™s true”a œraking effect is used and it™s beautiful. The home is tucked between two other homes, gated, and with a pool in the front (the most practical location since it™s flat), the rear is downslope and decking. With 2900 sq feet, it’s priced just under $1,100,000.
Also on tour last week was an estate on Smith Road–a home with over 8000 sq feet, priced at $4,800,000. Lots of large bedrooms (six in all), each with their own large bathroom. Every bedroom I walked into, I thought was the master”until I found the master. It leaves no doubt–the bathroom is as large as a typical bedrom and there is a balcony off the mater closet. The backyard is over 3/4 with a sport court, pool, putting green, and batting cages. If you lived here, you would never need to go on vacation.
